AI Dating Profile Optimizer ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have over your information.

1. Data We Collect

1.1 Social Sign-In Data

When you sign in using a social account provider (Apple, Google, or Microsoft), we receive the following information from the OAuth provider:

• Identity tokens — cryptographic tokens that verify your identity with the provider
• Email address — the email associated with your social account
• Display name — your name as set in your social account profile

We use this information solely to create and authenticate your account. Identity tokens are passed to our authentication service (Supabase Auth) and are not stored separately by us.

1.2 Account Data

When you create an account (via email or social sign-in), we store:

• Email address
• Display name
• Account creation date
• Subscription status and plan type

1.3 Photo Data

Metadata we retain includes:

• Ranking scores and order
• Analysis text and feedback
• Session timestamps
• Number of photos analyzed per session

1.4 Usage and Session Data

We log the following engagement metrics to improve the App:

• Session start/end timestamps
• Features used (photo ranking, bio generation)
• Number of regenerations and selections
• Time spent in each session
• App version and platform (iOS, Android, Web)

1.5 Payment Data

Payments are processed by third-party providers. We do not store credit card numbers or payment credentials. Our payment processors include:

• Apple App Store — for iOS in-app purchases
• Google Play Store — for Android in-app purchases

We receive and store transaction identifiers and subscription status from these providers.

2. How We Use Your Data

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may process your data:

• Supabase — Authentication and database hosting. Your account data is stored in Supabase-managed PostgreSQL databases.
• OpenAI — AI photo analysis and bio generation. Photos are sent via API for processing and are subject to OpenAI's privacy policy. Photos are not retained by OpenAI for API usage.
• Sentry — Error monitoring and crash reporting. All data sent to Sentry is sanitized to remove personally identifiable information (PII), including email addresses, tokens, passwords, and photo data.
• Apple / Google — Native in-app purchase processing and OAuth sign-in.

4. Data Security

We implement the following security measures:

• Authentication tokens are stored in platform-secure storage (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore on native, encrypted localStorage on web)
• All API communications use HTTPS/TLS encryption
• Backend access is protected by authentication middleware and rate limiting
• Error reports are sanitized before transmission — no passwords, tokens, photo data, or email addresses are included
• Database access uses parameterized queries to prevent injection attacks

5. Data Retention

• Photos: Never stored. Discarded immediately after AI analysis.
• Analysis metadata: Retained while your account is active.
• Account data: Retained until you delete your account.
• Session logs: Retained for up to 12 months for service improvement, then aggregated or deleted.

6. Your Rights (GDPR and Data Protection)

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right to Access — You can export all your data at any time from the Settings screen in the App.
• Right to Deletion — You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from the Settings screen. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.
• Right to Rectification — You can update your profile information at any time.
• Right to Portability — Your data export is provided in a standard JSON format.
• Right to Object — You can opt out of non-essential tracking via cookie consent (web) or by contacting us.

7. Cookies and Tracking (Web Only)

On the web version of our App, we use:

• Essential cookies — Required for authentication and session management. These cannot be disabled.
• Analytics cookies — Used to understand usage patterns. These are only activated with your consent via our cookie consent banner.

Native mobile apps (iOS and Android) do not use cookies.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected data from a person under 18, we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or via email. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
